Building Conservation
In the 1970's, Bruce Eeles (working for the NPWS) carried out conservation work on many buildings in the care of the NPWS - principally at Hartley and Hill End, NSW. Work was carried out on the basis of the axiom - as much as necessary - but as little as possible.
Other work done at this time included stone repairs, veranda stabilisation and structural upgrading to various building types all over NSW.
These included:
Sydney Harbour Fortifications
St. Bernard's Church, Hartley
St. Johns Church, Hartley
Greycliffe House
Shelter pavilion, Shark Island
Shearers Quarters, Menindee
and many others
